Christian Blackshaw - Istanbul Resitalleri / February 10, 2022

Istanbul Resitalleri is a very special event hosting some of the most famous and talented classical musicians. Especially focused on piano, Istanbul Resitalleri is inviting piano virtuosos from all around the world to Istanbul to give the residents and the visitors of the city unforgettable experiences.

On February 10, 2022, the pianist Christian Blackshaw will be performing at 8 pm at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum the Seed. In the New York Times, Volume 4 of his Wigmore Hall complete Mozart Piano Sonatas series was considered one of the Best Classical Recordings of 2015.

Istanbul Resitalleri will continue until June 10, 2022. Some of the famous virtuosos that will be performing include Momo Kodoma, Alim Beisembayev, Clarie Huangci, Alexei Volodin, Martina Filjak, and John O’Conor.

Artists’ Film International 2021 / August 14, 2021 – February 27, 2022

Artists’ Film International, hosted by Istanbul Modern is an event that showcases short films, animations, and videos from all over the world. Having different themes each year, this year’s theme is “care”. Having gone through hard times with the pandemic and quarantines around the globe, we all have experienced the feeling of isolation and alienation, which reminds us of the importance of care in human life. Interactions / August 14, 2021 – February 27, 2022

“Interactions” is a temporary collection that will be showcased in Istanbul Modern. The exhibit portrays artworks from different fields of art. The works in the exhibit explore the inspirations and interests of the artists while drawing attention to the connections between different disciplines. Showcasing how artists express themselves in their works by being influenced by other disciplines of art as well as other artists, Interactions can be an enlightening experience in getting to know the inner workings of an artist’s mind.
