Naval Museum

When you first enter the Beşiktaş, a huge building must catch your attention: It is the Naval Museum! With being one of the most prestigious maritime museums in Turkey, Istanbul Naval Museum came first in the National Architectural Project Competition. The museum offers hundreds of naval artifacts to its visitors and displays naval clothing, manuscripts, ship models, starboards, maps, royal boats, galleys, portolans, paintings, monograms, navigational instruments, coats of arms, figures, and weapons. It is one of the few museums in the world with its 20,000 artifacts collection.

Dolmabahçe Palace

One of the most sumptuous buildings in Istanbul, Dolmabahçe Palace, is located in the most picturesque part of the Bosphorus. Although it was created in the mid-nineteenth century, it has retained its opulent aspect and is one of Istanbul's emblematic landmarks. Dolmabahçe Palace is located in Beşiktaş's coastal area, where shipping activity used to take place as one of the Bosphorus' bays. Since ancient times, this bay has served as a natural harbor for sailors and also drew monarchs throughout the Byzantine Empire, when royal palaces were built in the area. It functioned as the late Ottoman Empire's principal administrative hub and is well-known for its neoclassical facade and spectacular interior.

Yıldız Park

Located between Çırağan and Yıldız palaces, Yıldız Park is among the most impressive, peaceful, and frequently visited parks of Istanbul.
