Düden Waterfalls in Antalya

The soothing sounds of water cascading against the rocks at Duden Waterfall are just one of the many everyday joys available in Antalya. The Dudenbasi is a great place to spend a fantastic day in Antalya while also seeing a natural beauty. The waterfall and picnic area surrounding it draw both locals and visitors from other regions.

The two origins of the falls, which have the volume of a river, are known as Kirkgozler and Pinarbasi. After a short distance, they merge to form the Biyikli pothole and disappear in it. The term Duden refers to a hole that consumes water supplies. Some of these potholes are so large that they may absorb an entire river or lake. Beginning near Dudenbasi, the Duden stream splits into several rivulets that eventually pour into the Mediterranean from the eastern side of a more than 40-meter-high travertine formation, forming a cascade. Dudenbasi is more than just a waterfall. You enter the cave through a short stairway, and the lush surroundings will take your breath away.

Upper Düden Waterfall

Upper Duden Waterfall, located on the Duden River 10 kilometers north of the city center, is virtually a piece of heaven. Upper Duden Waterfall is also known as Alexander Falls and is located 10 kilometers from the city center. The waterfall's lush green surroundings are reminiscent of a tropical paradise. The source of the 20-meter-high waterfall lies 22 kilometers ahead in the Kirkgoz region. Under the waterfall, tombs carved in the rocks may be seen.

Lower Düden Waterfall

Lower Duden Waterfall is located 8 kilometers from the city center, near Karpuzkaldiran Beach on the road to Lara. Duden Creek created this magnificent waterfall, and its drop height is larger than the upper waterfall, dropping from around 40 meters into the sea in beautiful water clouds.
